This is my mood board for my Givenchy shoot.
From doing some research into
Givenchy, I noticed that they are and edgy brand who loves embellishments. They
use traditional monochrome colours with a third colour, which is usually a nude
of some sort or a gold. This is also quite a classic combination of colours,
which doesn’t go out of fashion and can be applied to any era. They have been ‘seriously reinterpreting the
codes of elegance, sophistication and femininity since it was founded in 1952’
This said, the brand in later
years has become an edgier, and have seen a new angle. The classic
embellishments have been brought to the 21st century and have been
brought to models faces, the classic black dress shown in the top left corner
has had a modern overhaul and has now been paired with a bouffant hair style
and modern fabrics. The logo alone is
perfectly symmetrical and is reminiscent of the architecture during the 1950s, however
the sharp angles keep it fresh and up to date and wouldn’t look misplaced on a
modern bag.
