From doing research into the brand Givenchy, I noticed that their style tends to be more sophisticated and formal. They stick to a colour theme (black white and then a third colour, usually pale pink or tan this season), which makes the brand clothing very recognisable.

As for the makeup aspect of the brand, Givenchy continues this sophisticated theme through to their makeup, the eye shadow palettes feature soft browns and dark smoky colours, and the lipsticks and bright classic reds, which compliment most skin tones. In their adverts for the products they tend to have a slightly sexy look and feel about them, which makes them more saleable and desirable.

Despite the majority of the brand styling dark and sexy sophisticated items of clothing and colours, the LA RÉVÉLATION ORIGINELLE collection features bright colours, which is a slight side step for this brand. In this collection, Nicholas Degennes tells the story of how angelic beauty is created, this story have universal validity as it is designed for women around the world to enhance their own halo.

Therefore, when I style my own shoot I will make sure that I fit most of these conventions.
